Spiro owns the Valois Cafeteria, a venerable establishment in the Hyde Park (Chicago) neighborhood that is the home of the University of Chicago. Valois is located at 1518 E. 53rd Street, just west of the old Illinois Central viaduct. It is a good place to eat, inexpensive and something of a cultural institution (a sociological study of a subgroup of Valois diners was published in the early 1990s). You might enjoy visiting if you're in the area.
